The view from my beautiful 4m tall platform ladder; a bargain at a mere $816.
House progress update
I have been a tad slack with progress reports so here are a few fresh photos:
A bottle of Tassie bubbly to celebrate getting the keys.
A lipstick palm in the garden (photo by Lisa).
A finch has been visiting the messy area of the garden and collecting materials for his new place. I bet he didn’t have to spend $816 on ladders. Bastard.
It seems the crappy TV signal was because the previous occupants “borrowed” the power brick for the masthead amplifier when they departed. Once a new brick was installed it became apparent that the signal around here is so strong that we may have to bypass the masthead amp.
The old saying goes like this: “Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and close examination of either can be an unrewarding experience”. The same goes for blades of ceiling fans that haven’t seen much love when viewed from four metres above floor level.
More stuff tomorrow.
Saturday morning hell
Things that are guaranteed to piss me right off.
- The people that live two houses north digging up their driveway with a Bobcat at 8am
- The people that live a few houses south having their overflowing septic tank emptied and the wind is blowing from that direction.
- The people that live opposite us playing Michael Jackson at disco levels.
It’s been a month since my last post so I really should do some catching up. I’ve only taken few photos too so a trip should be made tomorrow.
Northern Brown Bandicoot
A rather pregnant Northern Brown Bandicoot that has been visiting for the last few nights. This may be because:
The populations of I. macrourus live in two different habitats: one during the dry season and the other during the wet season. During the dry season, this species lives in thick vegetation consisting of tall weeds, small trees, and dense shrubs.
